has anyone done any make up courses at the scottish beauty school? if you have what are they like and would you recommend them? xx

I have not done the course but did consider it myself.... I was told however that the makeup educators work for the bbc and there makeup is more for cameras and photos I was looking more for special occasions and bridal so am looking elsewhere once I have the cash.I was going to look at Caledonian Therapy academy they have colleges in edinburgh and glasgow unfortunately I dont know what they are like but they do special oocassions and bridal...hth... let me know how you get on..

Hi, I have done courses at the caledonian. the make up one was excellent and I learnt lots of tips & tricks. I now do bridal make up mobile in edinburgh and work in a salon p/t.

I have also done the make up with cta. I enjoyed the course. learnt a lot but personally don't like doing make up. I have found that there are things your good and and things your not and the only one that I am not good at is make up. I done it as part of the beauty specalist and was very keen but tbh I am crap at makeup and think for me it is too personal to people and leave me open to a bad name for being rubbish whereas I am very confident at everything else I do.
Clydebank college also have a make up course which covers basic, camouflage and bridal make up. It is two nights per week for 12 weeks and costs around £200. I am afull time student there, and can recommend the level of teaching.
