Hi All :)

New to the forum. I'm booked up for a beginners waxing course next week which will cover the basics, I plan to book an advanced course for next month which covers Brazillian, Holywood, and Californian.

In future I'd be hoping to offer male treatments too, however I can't find a single course anywhere near my area.

Do you know if this is something that I should really do before attempting these kinds of treatments? I thought I could maybe just practice on the other half (if he would let me!) once I've done the female advanced waxing course, but I really don't want to cause any injury... I value his "down there" parts to much haha!

Any advice would be welcome

Male clients are generally fairly loyal clients once they find good experienced therapists. I only offer male waxing treatments and specialise in male intimate waxing. IMO it would be good to train and offer both nale and female intimate if you can. I trained with Kim lawless who does train in Scotland also so take a look at her website for details.

Good luck

When waxing the crack of a male do you get them to wear anything or hold?

Hold what lol? If you have them in the right position and using the right kind of wax then everything should be nice and tight without the need for extra bracing.

What position do you put them in?

I did my Male intimate wax training with Kim Lawless a few years ago and have never looked back. I know she comes up to Scotland sometimes but It would be worth the trip down south to train with her. If it's male waxing your thinking of doing then you will not find a better course.

Between you and I it's called "all fours".

To the client it's:

"could you please get on to your knees and down on to your elbows.....that's it nearly there.....no a little lower......a little lower......and now just seperate your knees a little wider......a little wider.....no you've hunched your back now (gently press on lower back)....almost there.....don't panic.....trust me.....yes I know you've never been in this position before but it's best you spread it than I do"

This is funny how you describe it. I have this thing though about getting them on all hours. We turn them on their front, one therapist holds the cheeks open and the other one does the waxing, we always do the waxing in 2 therapists.
The therapists feel less vulnerable and it's quicker. One does all the stretching the other one does the waxing.
Been doing it for 7 years and we have many loyal clients. You are right about male clients being very loyal, they travel for miles and only change their bookings in case of emergencies.

Clients on all fours is IMO much better and easy to allows the therapist full control and access. I'm not sure as a client I would want two therapists performing my waxing. Do you use two therapists for female intimate as well?

In my time as a trainer I have come across so many therapists who are horrified by the Knees & Elbow's positioning for crack waxing.

I've never had a problem with it for my male or female clients, I'm very matter of fact about it. I say its not the most dignified position, but it is the best for stretching the skin, giving me access to where I need to get and that makes it more comfortable for you (the client).

Really don't see how getting someone to lie on their belly and pull their bum cheeks apart is more dignified - I'd say it was much less so. And also much less comfortable!

I'm very new to intimate waxing, and say to the clients "This is how I do it".

I get them on all fours and do round the back and every single one says they have never had it done like that before. I say "It's nearly over - doesn't take long - makes the rest a piece of cake!!!"

My friend has hers done and has to lie on her front and pull her own cheeks apart. I think this would be pretty impossible for a larger client!

The awful thing is, I STILL haven't ever had mine done. Note to self.....

How did I miss this thread!

I realise that you did your female training a few months back now but is just like to encourage you to offer men's intimate waxing.

I teach men's intimate waxing and I've developed my own technique which clients tell me they love compared to other ways they've been waxed and I've also trained male and female therapists that have already trained in this but wanted to try my technique. I'm pleased to say that they all seem really pleased with it.

Whoever you train with, it's a great job and male clients are just the same as female clients. I don't actually believe they're more loyal........ they're just frightened so prefer to stay with someone they know and trust .

Hi, Jack, no, we don't use it on our female clients. For female we turn them on the side in recovery position to do the bum area.
For a female the area of loose skin is not as large so I feel that having 2 therapists is benefiting the male client.

We are all taught a way of doing things but it's what we find works best that matters - with the client in mind ALWAYS.
