massage and pagets disease??????

Not sure if this is the right place to post. I've recently qualified in sedish massage. I've had a client ask for a massage who has been diagnosed with Pagets disease. I asked her to cheack out with her GP who has said he doesn't think it would do any harm. Has any one treated a client with this disease. Any comments greatfully recieved!!

Hi Tara,

I'm not a Skin geek, but as far as I know Pagets desease/ Osteitis Deformans, would be a contraindication to massage.

I wouldn't take your clients word for it when she says her Doctor says it would be OK for her to have a massage. I would ask her for a Doctor's note, just to cover yourself.
