Microdermabrasion, how many sessions?

my skin is starting to look little tired, have finally decided to treat myself to few sessions of microdermabrasion just wondered how many sessions would I need to real a real difference in the appearance of my skin .. don't want to start want cant finish, lol

any alternatives recommendations to microdermabrasion would be appreciated x
