Ive been having a little look through past threads but finding alot of conflicting opinions on wether or not you can actually START earning with just CND L&P or any other professional course similar? Id like to know in your opinion what are the minimum courses you think are needed under your belt to maybe rent a chair regarding nails/enhancements? ie: l&p, gel, nail art etc...Im awaiting to start my CND L&P but concerned that I wont be able to rent until I have a number of other courses on my CV or can I do these other ones as I go along? xx

I set myself up as a mobile Tech with only my CND Foundation course under my belt. I've done loads more training as I went along and that way I enhanced my skills in conjunction with the general improvement that comes from working regularly.......

Hi Yvette, thanx for that do you mind me asking where you started out-mobile/rent a chair/work for someone else? and was it hard or am I right presuming its hard for everyone first starting out? xx

I started out mobile working for myself, and yep it is hard work! My husband put the word around his office and I picked up a couple of guinea pigs from there, once my Yellow Pages ad went live I started getting more clients, but the first year was really hard going and I didn't make much money...... There are knockbacks but that's when doing a course is a good confidence boost.......

3 years down the line I am much busier (not fully booked all the time, but much busier). Word of mouth is of course the best way of getting clients, but my website works well for me as well.

Thanx Vetty, I absolutely love all things hair and beauty and sure if I put the hours of practice in I can make something out of it, Id like to rent a room or space when Ive completed my L&P with CND but Im worried I wont cope if Im new to everything-Im also going to be doing spraytans so hoping a little of both will keep me afloat until things pick up. My hubby works and I dont (at college finishing my hairdressing) so Im thinking any profit I bring in at the end of each month is a bonus hopefully leading to my own little packet??!! xx Ooo also, what is the actual training thats included with CND L&P? Is it the basic natural and french or do they show how to do the glittery tips etc....or are these the courses people progress onto? xx

Foundation concentrate on P+W using natural tips and pink and white powder - that is the hardest things to do well, so once you can do that you can have a crack at glitter yourself.......

Enjoy it!

WOOH HOOOO!!!! Right o thats great thanx for all yr help guys xx
