Hi Geeks

I have been having a look at the Minx products I would like to try them out before I look to buy a Lamp. Do you have to have training before you can purchase the product/kits ?

as far as i know the answer is NO....if i was you i would just get some and read all the threads/posts and tuts on here...see how you go...if you find you are really struggling then ring Sweet Squared and see if they do a class.

I called them yesterday about pricing, and classes, and was assured that it was simple to do and there wasn't any training. I've looked on the SweetSquared website and it has a straightforward looking step by step. There is heaps and heaps on the forums too. hth x

There is also a video that shows you quite easily how to use Minx.
www.sweetsquared.com just click on Minx.

Your nail technicians aren't you??? For crumbs sake you can learn how to do Minx by watching the video demonstration and then practising. That's how I learned. Yes practising. After 3 or 4 full sets of Minx you will be doing them in your sleep.

For me the thing is that almost EVERYTHING new has training attached to it, (and rightly so) so I was shocked when I was told no. I just assumed that such a new, and different, product would need some training. I can't wait to get going, and am desperate for a day off to go and pick up the kit!

Watch out for promotion days and you can go and see Minx in action. I was there last week Minxing away for anyone who came in the shop and wanted to see them ... which was everyone!!!

They've had several special days to show off Minx. You can ring and request a demo too if you are going over to Leeds.

Ring and ASK Katie in the shop for what you want and she will arrange it for you . She even arranges a personal shopping service for you if you book (no charge) I think on Thursdays and Fridays. Ring and ask her about it ... they are there to serve you and to show you what you want to see. USE these services.

blummin heck, now I may need to ring in sick to get there quicker hee hee only joking!

Thanks geeg, I would never have thought to ask for that kind of help in the shop, thats going to make things much easier!

...and yep *Ang* it is my new favourite thing to look at. I really can't stop looking at all the designs, and I'm forever searching google images to see which Minx the stars are wearing. Thanks x

Hi, I've no experience at nails but was on a course at Ellisons last week for eyelash perms and tints. A nail technician on the course asked for a quick demonstration and was shocked how straight forward Minx was - especially as Ellisons are running a course which costs £75 for 1/2 day.

No u dont have to have the training, all you need is a manicure, pedicure, nail art or nail qualification certificate to open account with sweet squared or ellisons but to be honest ellisons never seem to have stock.

I found it quite easy to master, I did it on myself first. You do get instructions with the kits and you can also look on you tube lots of videos on there

I would def go for it though its been mental in my salon with them

Enjoy minxing

Jo
