i am wondering with the minx nails. can you only apply these to natural nails or can you apply them to acrylics as well?

can you use these minx nails on top of acrylic nails or are they only for natural nails?

Yes you can and I do but I do not give clients any false expectations as to how long they will last on fingers. If everyone treated fingers like toes Minx veneers would last as long on fingers as toes but unfortunately, clients want to play with their fingers all the time and feel and push at the edges of the Minx and then they shorten the life of them.

I tell all that Minx will last a few days on fingers and should be treated as a fashion accessory for parties etc .. they then love to surprise me by telling me they lasted two weeks!! BUT if I promise 2 weeks they love to tell me they only lasted a few days (go figure) so I make no promises and leave the lasting ability up to them ( which is right because the lasting ability entirely depends on the client).

ok thats great .. so you just do the acrylics as normal i take it with clear tips and then apply the minx foils over the top or them. i take it you do not put any clear coat on top of the acrylics as you have to apply the foils on?

I apply Minx over any type of enhancement whether it be pink and white or more natural ... you want the nails to look just as beautiful when the Minx are removed.

Minx veneers really are not foils .. there are hundreds of different patterns as well as metallics to choose from.

Some say that they do not bring the enhancement to a high shine before applying Minx as they think they last longer ... experiment with that one to determine for yourself.

thanks for your help.. its helped alot xxx:hug:

Help.......i have just done minx on acrylics for a friend and it was a disaster. I first removed polish from the nail and applied minx in the normal way but it was full of creases at the edges and tips and i could not smooth them out, also found it very difficult to file with the minx file so cut them but all creased at the tip....help....whats the secret? just started working in a salon and now dreading if someone wants them done next week.

The secret is in how you press them onto the surface. Slow and steady. Have you had a class? Do you need to see the training video? If so pm me with your email address and your S2 customer number and I will send it on to you.
