Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well this afternoon!

I'm just getting into Minx at the moment, and I'm going to be offering it in my studio soon. I've been thinking about offering Minx parties though, but a) are these worth pursuing and b) how do you guys do it? Ie. do you ask the participants what Minx they would like beforehand, so that you can order it in? Or do you have a selection that you take with you that they can choose from?

I have my Maxi Minx kit, however I haven't got lots of capital at the min which I could use to buy lots of styles. So I was wondering whether it would work by the people coming to the party 'pre-ordering' and paying for their design in advance?

How many people can you do at a party? How do you advertise?? Any tips and ideas much appreciated :0)

I would direct the party booker to the sweet squared site and ask them to choose the design they want, tell them there is a three day lead time so pleanty of notice is required.
I would try and take a deposit of £ £x to cover the cost of the minx , non refundable.
In two hours you can do 4 applications.

Hi I have done Minx party's from 4 - 8 guests including the host. Now that I have done a few I have got my time down to 30 min each (it took me ages at first as I was spending too much time with prep) but always allow a little extra time for unexpected events . I have a couple of the design charts that I drop off to the host to get her guests to make their choice get them to choose 2 designs in case their first choice is out of stock make sure you order in plenty of time I would allow at least a week in case of out of stocks. I get the host to take £5 non refundable deposits in case of no shows. All my advertising is through word of mouth (also have a face book group). I wouldn't like to ask for payment up front seems a bit unprofessional in my opinion. I do have a few designs in stock for last min clients. HTH.

On the basis that cerries does not have alot of capital to outlay, it does make good business sense to ask for that portion of money upfront, especially if the parties are being held by people she does not know.

In my opinion this is just good business sense and not at all unprofessional.

xx

Hi Kathy

If you do a search for Minx on here, it will bring up a load of info :green:

Hi guys

I'm only new to Minx myself - just got my Minx Maxi Kit last weekend! Check out SweetSquared website for more info, or Minxnails.com I think is the website? Minx is like a film that you adhere to the nail (natural or enhanced) - it becomes pliable when you put it under a heat source (you get the special lamp in the Minx Maxi Kit). You then just fit the Minx to the nails and voila! - you have groovy looking nails! There are hundreds of designs to choose from - I've got black and silver ones on now and SO many people comment on them...

I'm planning on holding Minx Parties - where you get a few of your friends together, get a bottle of wine, and then have me come round and Minx everyone's nails!

You can Minx toes too - the sheets come with Minx for fingers and toes. I haven't done toes yet, but I believe they can last around 6-8 weeks I think? I've heard general wear for fingers is around 1-2 weeks, but I'm not sure as I'm just road testing them myself! I have put a coat of NSI Glaze & Go Gel Topcoat on mine to see if it makes them last a little longer :0) x

Sorry cerries just spotted you reply now!
Oh they sound great.. cant believe they'd last that long. Think i spotted something bout Minx training on Creatives website. Must give them a call.
Am now addicted to training..
what you you charge for a set of minx then?

I love the idea of minx parties! Ive got really into minx, i love them ut same, ive not enough money to buy a selection of designs, where could i get a design sheet with all the different patterns on? thanks.

If you call sweet squared they are very helpful and will send you posters and the sheet that has the minx instructions on that has all the designs in the middle.
