minx problem

hi ive been doing minx and i love it, had no problems at all except for one client. i did prep did the left foot and it was fine. did the right foot and all was fine except for the 4th toe (next to piggy) i put the minx on and it wasn't staying put on the nail. when i got my minx file on it, it came off , so i left it bare and did the little toe and this was fine. So then i turned off lamp and did prep again on the 4th toe and then went back under lamp to put a fresh one on, again i had trouble but it was ok and stayed on and the client was really pleased, although i felt awful and embarassed that it wouldn't go right. the client went away happy though but after about a week and a half ish it has come off the 4th toe, but the rest are fine, so i re done the whole nail again and the minx still wouldn't sit right on the nail but went on better than last time, i didnt charge the client for this as i felt awful. im not doing anything different from any other toe and followed the video tutorial (watched it 5 times before the client returned). i just dont understand why i had problems with that one toe .

anyone have any ideas what could be the problem as i keep thinking about it and dreading having another call to say it has come off again, dont want the client to be put off having it again.

It makes me wonder if the surface of the toenail was rough or uneven or ridged?

Does that toe rub against another constantly? Is that toe an odd shape?

it was fine in shape, no ridges either but it did touch her little toe a little but would that effect application, as my little toes and fourth toes touch slightly and i havent had problems with mine, maybe they rub a little. it was so frustrating that i couldn't get it right though, grrr

i also have a problem with minx at the moment. I have been minxing everybody and everything is fine but on 1 of the girls nails it just will not stay on and is off in hours, Her nails are also fine eg no ridges, i have tried them on both fingers and toes on her but still same problem. The only thing different with her is she is pregnant could this affect the minx????

Of course, general health affects nails.

I think everyone needs to be realistic and understand that just as some can't wear enhancements and keep them on .. some can't wear polish and keep it on ... I'm sure some will not be able to wear Minx and keep them on. That's the way it is. The problem is not with Minx, the problem is with the chemistry just as always.

These are some of the rare unknowns we have to deal with. When it happens, accept it for what it is. If 99% of your clients are loving Minx and having no problems wearing them then that seems a great result and pretty normal.
