Sorry guys if I have placed this in the wrong area, please move if this is so. When doing Minx on toes, I have found most toes apart from big toe are quiet small and I am using only numbers 1-2 and 6789. What do you all do with other ones left over?? and also why give you 18 minx and not 20????

When doing a pattern with a certain design, I have found some dont fit on the nail (quiet a lot ) I done the nautical stripe white and red with anchor but found that the anchor would only fit on big toe and had to just paint the rest red!!!! is there a special way to get around this?? I also find with some other patterns they dont fit I tried the green purple pinky check one,, but when placed on little toes it just looks like green as the pink and purple bits are at the top of the minx which I file away,,iygwim. SO annoyed.

Also I am doing 1 nail at a time but was wandering how you all do yours, would it be faster to say size them all up then place all 10 under heat source and do that way???

Please help :) really confused. xxx

As each client pays for the entire Minx sheet in her service, it wouldn't be the end of the world if you chucked out all the rest .... BUT OF COURSE none of us do this being the frugal type people that all nail techs seem to be :) Look, use them for another time, in case of mistakes, in case of repairs etc. A minx sheet is not meant for 2 sets of nails but ONE and any extra you can use for whatever purpose are a bonus!!

When doing a pattern with a certain design, I have found some dont fit on the nail (quiet a lot ) Sometimes, you do have to trim and tailor Minx to fit .. this is normal and should be expected as sadly there is no uniform size of peoples toenails.

I done the nautical stripe white and red with anchor but found that the anchor would only fit on big toe and had to just paint the rest red!!!! is there a special way to get around this?? NO .. I wouldhave used the stipes only for the rest of the toes. There is a great photo of this design on the Minx Lovers Social group forum .. check it out and see how she has done it. I'm sure she shaped quite a few to fit.

I also find with some other patterns they dont fit I tried the green purple pinky check one,, but when placed on little toes it just looks like green as the pink and purple bits are at the top of the minx which I file away,,iygwim. SO annoyed. Again, sometimes you have to trim the Minx to get the design exactly where you want it.

Also I am doing 1 nail at a time but was wandering how you all do yours, would it be faster to say size them all up then place all 10 under heat source and do that way??? I certainly keep all the Minx warm all the time. It is easier to size the Minx correctly when the backing sheet is warm and pliable. I do one nail at a time.

Hi Katie1 There is a Minx social group if you would like to join it, but your Minx questions are also fine right here in the main forum too. If you want to check out the Minx Lovers social group then click on community above on the bar and then choose social groups from the drop down window and then you can join .. easy.

I keep them because by doing Minx on the public I end up with all sorts of sizes left over, so having 'spares' is always handy. Also, I don't use a whole strip for each toe, I cut them in half as toenails are short - less wastage. In reality I usually Minx my toes from leftovers and cut-offs, so I see my toes as a 'free' service :green:

Thanks, guys really helpfull. I thought about just doing the stripes. Will have a go tomorrow. I have a few sets to do next week, mainly the plain silver, never attempted this one,,so fingers crossed. xxx Kate xxx

A tip that I got from a very lovely lady, is....if you are struggling to fit the big toes because its too wide, then turn it on its side. Works brilliantly and you can get a very precise fit.

Doesn't work with all patterns but works with the majority of designs. We are often left with number 2 when doing toes and I use this to do a second set. We now get at least 2 sets out of one pack.
