Heres a little one for you geeks, can anyone explain the diffrence between the two both physically and chemically, and why is one ok in one physical state and yet not in another??????

Deep for a friday evening, anyone lol xx

No not me, but i hope to learn something.

hi

this is my understanding - but someone hopefully will reply as well that knows more or correct me if my understanding of it is wrong

PMMA poly methyl methacrylate - it is solid polymerised MMA and only used in the powders, it's MMA monomer (Liquid) that's the problem

Chemically - is the synthetic polymer of methyl methacrylate

PMMA will not cause adverse skin reactions like MMA because the polymer is thousands of times larger than the original MMA molecule, and can't penetrate the skin so is more compatible with human tissue

reputable safe brands use EMA Liquid
