In a world of my own....
Hi

I am looking for advice where I can get a good portable light and also a good (cheap) 'pull along' holdall... the one I have is large (that I carry) but has only one pocket in the front and I am forever rooting in it - I need something with multiple comparments please?

Also, I have a minimist spray tan machine & gun - is it ok to put the spray gun in it's holder together with the machine while travelling? I have them all in separate plastic bags (in the holdhall) but it seems to be a bit time wasting...

Any suggestions for an easier life greatly appreciated...

Thanks
Janet

Hi
Can you give me advice on below.... I know I am based in Ireland but would love to hear about some good websites that I might be able to purchase i.e. a good portable lamp for spray tanning on darker evenings and a good pullalong holdall with lots of compartments?

Also the spray tan gun question - can I put it in the machine (minimist T200) 'holder' while travelling from one client to another - will it leak - currently I have the gun in one plastic bag and the machine in another (and carrying in a holdall) which makes for alot of unwrapping/wrapping maybe this is ok?

Also how to you copy a comment on another Salon Geek post and put into the response?

Thanks again
Janet:lol:

ok, I would recommend the minimist bag that Tantrick sell, it is a perfect size and has other pockets and compartments etc, cant fault it! It doesnt have wheels but in my opinion these would be a pain if you had to wheel along in the wet and then right across someones nice white carpet! I am not sure how much they are? think they are about 20 pounds? not the cheapest bag but very good and strong. I get EVERYTHING in mine.

Yes you can put the machine in the bag and the gun inside the machine and it wont leak if you keep it upright, I dont keep mine in plastic bags, but I would have a look at the bag I mentioned earlier as it is a snug fit and stops the gun rattling about when you are travelling etc.

(actually just had a look on the Tantrick site and the bag is different to the one I have so better ask Collin about that, might be a different size to mine? )

sorry, got interrupted lol...

Ok, Sienna x do a clamp on light but that is quite expensive, you could get one from Ikea if you have them in Ireland? or heard other people have got theirs from local supermarkets etc.

To quote on someone elses post just press the 'quote' tab at the bottom of their post and choose the bit that you want to quote (delete the rest out)

I would invest in some spare cups with lids for your machine (Tantrick and Sienna sell these) that way you can take out different solutions in each cup (dont overfill though, 200ml max!) and its easier to do colour changes when you are out.

Hth x

My tantrick bag has just ripped :-( i was carrying it to a client and one of the solutions came out (i keep them in the end bits) and there is a whole, i think because i have been carrying it with the big handle instead of the small ones the weight of everything in it broke the stitching. I loved it too going to try and fix it :-(

Just to point out the bag is of excellent quality mine i just overloaded and overused :)

I dont know if they even sell mine still?? its not a holdall really, it was the original Tantrick bag that they did about 4 years ago? Got flap pocket on the outside where you have compartments for your phone, diary, client record cards, place to put pens etc.... Zip pocket on the other side where I keep my hats, disposable underwear, gloves etc.... and a large bit in the middle where the machine, solution cups, couch roll, extension lead etc goes... it only has one strong carry handle on the top and one bit of the top flaps over the other and the handle pops through if you get what I mean? also has a large shoulder strap but I never use that.

Mine is still as good as new all these years down the line, only had a problem with one of the zips but that was a bit tempramental from day one!

I got a couple of clamp-on lights from L.E. Electrical - a very nice man called Jeremy helped me. They cost £10 each + p&p. You can email them on [email protected]. Oh, and buying two seemed like a good idea, but I've never used the second one. It's proved very useful on many occasions and is now a permanent part of my kit.
