I know this probably sounds like a silly question, but im in the process of making some flyers and dont know what to put. Ive just set up my spare room as my nail work place and would preferrably like to work from home rather than travelling around to peoples etc, even though i will do if they can not get to me. So on my flyer do i put mobile nail technician or something else? because i want to work primarily from home will that be giving out a different impression, im going to stop now because i am rambling as well as confusin myself!!! please help me....

Hi

If you dont want to be mobile then dont put it down, list the address of your home salon and then put something like mobile calls available at an extra charge.

Thanks Tracy, so do you think i should just put Nail Technician as one of my subtitles under my name. Ive tried thinking of things i could put instead of Mobile even thought about putting freelance but just cant seem to find anything.

Hi kelly

i would and then if you put at the bottom of your cards that you are available for call out at an extra charge then people know this to. If they really want you to come to them then they know its going to be extra and i would base it on the time it takes you to get there and back. I charge by time sooo............30 mins round trip add £10. Bet they will come to you!! :D
Your in business to make money and dont forget that......... if your too nice people try to take advantage i have learned this the hard way am afraid.

Im just doing some new flyers and had the same problem as you. I'v tryed to bullet point every service i give and try and make it new and fresh.

I used to go mobile too but found it hard work, all the unpacking, clearing up and the driving it got way too much. Spent loads on petrol. I wouldnt even put it on my flyers because once people see that you will travel to them they will use it.

I travel to one lady, iv always done it for her and always will but thats the only one, plus she always reads my cards when i go...lol favour for a favour!!

Good luck with the flyers....also so insurances dont cover mobile

Hi guys

Just an idea, why don't you refer to yourself as a 'Professional Freelance Service' That way they know you are self employed and it doesnt indicate that you have to do the dreaded 'Mobile'.

Hi...
When i did my leaflets, under the address i put 'mobile service also available'...i felt that way i could pick or choose to be mobile or not depending on distance, treatment and cost affectiveness...after all i didnt want to miss a chance to ladies party's etc and that indicates that you may be available to do such like things or of course also disabled or elderly people would love to have a home treatment and wouldnt be any hassle at all and may pay a little extra for you to visit them...it just leaves your services open ended!
Just my humble opinion...hths

I have decided on something similar to the layout below - just need to jazz it up and add some info/clipart.
Ps. dont forget to mention the appointment only- you don't want people turning up at all hours!

home salon name
home salon address1
home salon address2
home salon address3

Kelly C
Nail Technician

tel 01234 567890

Home salon strictly appointment only.
Mobile service may be available upon request.
