Hello everyone

This is my first ever post on here :green:

Firstly, thanks to everyone for all the posts I've read so far and which have proved really useful in trying to decide what training I should do...

I really want to learn Nails, initially not so that I go into the industry, but just so that I can do friends/family but also have a qualification to fall back on should things ever go belly up with the "day job".

I'd sort of thought of doing the Essential Nails course as I'm not wanting to go and immediately work in a salon, but I'm not sure if it's for me.

Now I am thinking of doing the CND 5 day foundation course instead as from what I've read on here it sounds the best... The major issue will be getting a model though, as everyone I know works 9-5 and I live a long way away from my family, and all the "at home" people I know are Mums of kids under a year, and I can't see them being free. ARRGH.

Does anyone know any decent training where you don't have to provide a model?

Problems, problems....:irked:

Anyway thanks for reading

Helen

Welcome to Salongeek!

Talk to Bio Sculpture - they're based in Fleet too (01252 - 612 211) and from what I can remember I didn't have to take a model on any of my training as we worked on one another. You then just need one for your assessment and hopefully someone on here maybe able to help you out by then. We have a thread going with willing 'Guinea Pigs....'

Hold on and i'll post a link....

Here you go...

When i contacted the CND course in aberdeen they had said ideally you should have a model to do the training on but they do have hand trainers that you could use if the search for a model fails - it might be worth asking if they have this opportunity for you on your course? hth

Some of the girls didnt have models on my CND course, we just sorted it amongst ourselves.

CND is a great course x

Your CND training centre will always help you with models ... of course you must work on real people for any training course to be effective. I'm sure you understand that.

Hi and welcome to the site.

Would it be worth you finding out what date the CND course nearest to you runs and then put a post on here to ask if anyone is free on those dates and willing to be your model?

I am sure there will be someone on here willing to help you out.
