I did my manicure and pedicure courses (with LCN) before my Creative Foundation. Just because I thought the anatomy and physiology basics were important before enhancements.

The Creative Foundation does do anatomy/physiology too, but I wanted to get my training from lots of different sources, although I do soley use Creative products (L&P, Brisa and Fabric# - although Fabric is not Creative but you know what I mean!)

As far as I am aware there are not any funding options available as all the training you have mentioned is 'private sector' - if you were to do an NVQ and were a school leaver they'd be chucking money at you to train  (I'll get of my soap box now)

I think you might find as you actually start doing bits and pieces your priorities will change - you may find that your Masters is not as urgent as your Gel Conversion as you have clients who specifically want gel for instance.

Good plan though :D

Hi Marc,

Yes - you have certainly done your ground work! Your plan of action seems very sensible and realistic. Although it is expensive, you'd probably end up spending that amount in the long term if you want to cover everything and give the best services. As was said, you may well decide to juggle the order you do the courses as your priorities may change but it does seem very impressive. Good luck!

Hi Marc

Congratulations on your planning!!! Your long term aims are inspirational (I hope Geeks to be are reading!!)

Comments (you asked!): do manicure first to understand the area you will be working on.
I am sure you will be extremely happy with your Creative training but please consider gaining formal qualifications alongside. I am confident thatthe level of training provided is the basis for gaining an NVQ so all you will need are assessments at the right time (most Creative trainers will help with this I believe).
From this year (Aug) us 'nail' people have a career qualification i.e NVQ in Nail Services Levels 2 and 3. This is what will make it a truly professional career and not just a 'hobby'!

Last comment: tanning? why? Nothing wrong with it but why include it when you want to be a Professional Nail Technician? Employ a tanning specialist for your Salon.

Good luck!

Marian
