Hi All - just after some overall feedback. Im a mobile Nail Tech which doesnt charge that much however i often give nail art free when a full set of nails is applied. Of recent i have had a few requests to do a clients nails - (to which i thought was a full set and nail art) so went ahead and booked her in, only to find she wants her nails painted with nail art and tiger stripes to support the local football team on the road to Wembely. Im stuck now as i dont know what to charge and also as i thought it was a full set so would have been woth the journey, petrol etc . . . . . . Any advice????? I dont want to cancel on her now knowing its just nail art as i would hate that done to me, however i dont want to go and charge a large fee for a bit of polish and a few flicks!!!!! HELP please. Many Thanks x x

hi shellybobs!!
i normally give free nail art with a new set.(i work from home)
when clents just want their natrual nail painted, i charge for a file n paint. 15euro. i no wat your sayin tho, with your cost for travelling etc...
not to sure wat way u wud charge for that.
i no u dont want to charge much or cancel er but u do have to cover ur own costs.
**** luck xxx

Mmmmmmm ok first, you need to work out your fuel cost, thats your minium charge, then I would do a manicure and then the nail art. I charge 50p per nail per colour and thats the same if I'm doing something like play boy stickers with a clear top coat. So fuel charge + mani + nail art.
Then I would call the lady to confirm the booking and say oh by the way what sort of manicure will you be wanting with your nail art?
When she queries explain the difference between a normal mani and a luxury mani both of which usually include one colour polish. Get all the details from her and then give her the total price over the phone.
She will either say thats fine and confirm or yelp, and then you explain that as a mobile tech you do have to have a standing charge to cover your fuel but if she gets a friend or a few friends to be there for the same thing then the standing charge is shared rather then repeated. Might make it more worth your while to go.
Good luck
