Just thought I would share a newly discovered clay cane artist with you all. Not sure if you all know about it but it is becoming very big here. Her canes can be viewed and purchased here *auction site - URL removed * Make sure you get the ones that say nail canes. The others are beads that she makes for jewelry.

For those that have never heard of them, what we are doing is slicing these paper thin, doing a nail in either gel or acrylic, placing the cane and then capping it with clear gel or acrylic. You can layer several canes to make a full permanent design. When you go to do the fill you just file off (because remember they are under a thin layer) and start all over. Easier and faster then hand painting.

They are a lot of fun! Right now my clients are going crazy over the breast cancer canes that she did. It has been a big hit with October being breast cancer awareness month. I have fruit salad and purple glitter on my toes right now. I will see if I can figure out how to post a pic to give you a better idea of what it looks like.

Scratch that idea, I have just continuously tried resizing to just one toe and if I do it any smaller you will never be able to see it. I can't believe how small the pics have to be here. You loose all the detail. Sorry. They are posted on my site.

She just added Skeletal butterflies and humming birds, along with 2 other butterflies, a duck, an owl and many others. Enjoy and she does do international shipping!

Thanks for sharing:hug:

I love the desighns of these canes but how thin can u get them and can u only use them with an overlay or can they be used with just a clear varnish with out any raised areas, xxx

jellybean83 and jenny2, Bonnie does ship to everywhere. You just have to email her at [email protected]. I also sell her canes presliced and will ship anywhere for you as well. My email is [email protected] . My advice is to always order from the artist, you get a longer cane for what you pay for them. Bonnie makes her canes however she does not have time to keep up with us to be able to slice them for us. So I have taken on that part for her. I am the only one that she has giving permission to do that for her. Most of her orders right now have been from over seas and not the us.

As far as the slices go, you can get them paper thin. You can glue them on top of polish and then seal then in top coat. I personally, I don't have any natural nail clients so I have not tried it. I do know others that have.

Jenny,
If you use the proper blade you can get them REAL thin.. some techs are slicing them a little thicker and using an e-file to reduce them.. remember the design is all the way through, so there is no worry about filing off the design.. but again, if you use the proper tool, pre-slice them before your appointments, then no wasted time.

The BeautyTech Shoppe stocks more than 170 designs and a really sharp slicing blade. I made a real quick video on yourtube that show me slicing. There is a link to that in the Cane FAQ that you will find on every cane item in the Shoppe. Think about how you slice an onion real thin.. same theory. Some of the canes slice great with no extra work, some need warming before slicing, you can get some ideas about how to warm them in the FAQ also.

Why pay shipping from 3 or 4 different sites when you can get everything you need in one place, including some very exclusive designs, you will find NO WHERE else. and the tools you need to slice the canes.

As I said in this thread up above, if you want to pay the lesser (to the UK $5) First Class mail rate, just make that request in the comments section and your shipping amount will be adjusted before your card is charged. If you pay by paypal, we will refund the difference when your order is processed.

BeautyTech has the largest collection of clay nail art canes on the net and more stock arriving every week.. sometimes every day!! haha my mail man is beginning to hate me and my husband thinks I might be fooling around with someone at the post office!!
