I need to invest in some good nail art paint for freehand designs, up to now I've been using regular polish but find that some of these colours are not vibrant or deep enough. Any suggestions on whats a good paint for freehand?

Any good quality acrylic paint from the art store or there are some who specialise like BobSweden (a geek) whose wife is a wonderful nail artist.

Painting with polish is a nightmare!

Ahh ok thanks! I did wonder if that's what people meant when they said "acrylic paint" but didn't know. Im gonna get cracking with my shopping list!

I'm using some acrylic paints from Nailtopia at the minute. The jars are huge for the price, I'm always on the look out for different things though.

Thanks Claire. What's the quality like? Good yeah? X

Yeah it's good. I just dip my brush in very little and wipe excess away on my thumb nail/wipe before painting. It's a thinner consistency than some acrylic paints I've used in the past, ones that need watering down.

If you are worried, why not buy the basic colours to experiment? I bought the white, black, silver and gold first and had a play. x
