Just had a look so wish I had the money can't believe it's so cheap!

This looks amazing, what a great idea. I wish CND would bring one to Ireland! I would go but I don't use Crystal nails :-(

I don't think you have to use Crystal Nails to attend. I haven't used any of their products before and I'm going :)

Just curious, but have you actually been able to establish that with CN? I recently attended an art workshop with them and am planning a couple more. I had the required materials eg correct sized brushes/appropriate paints/dotter/buffer, but from another brand, and was told I had to purchase their brand of all the items to do it/them. To be expected, really! Mind you, I can't deny that their products are really, really good!

Unless they are demonstration type sessions with the opportunity to buy their ranges at the time, I would imagine they'd expect people to use their products? With the range of classes they're covering, it could ultimately end up costing rather more than people bargain for unless they're clear about this at the outset! I would check, for peace of mind, tbh.

My educator said as long as your qualified in the systems you can go along. You don't need to be trained in crystal nails but ive sent them an email to double check anyway x

Yes, that's what I'm driving at - you need all their CN products, as people were asking about this. What with gel/l&p/one stroke/aquarelle plus all the brushes/paints etc etc, it's not going to come cheap all in one go!

Obviously, only people trained in gel/l&p can attend, as you couldn't possibly be expected to pick up all that lot in 5 days - although I know that some training establishments actually do! I was referring to queries about needing CN products for all these sessions. x

Do you know anything about the kit or whats needed exactly? Xx

That's why I'm not going to go now, I know it's a really good price but with the costs of a full new kit I can't afford :(

It does sound amazing though. I'd love CND to do something like this.
Though I did attended The Event Sweetsquared put on last year and that was really good.

I don't mind purchasing a kit. I'm already a trained nail tech and have minimal products so the kit won't be a waste of money. I want to learn more advanced techniques so for me it will be useful.

I asked Anna Maria and they told me they will provide the things for art like one stroke paints coloured gels and powders, aquarelle paints etc but we need to provide all the stuff for sculpting I.e tips forms pink white and clear gel, acrylic liquid and powder, brushes pinching tools cuticle tools etc. We can buy it all on day 1 and I think they will probably do deals or discounts on it all if bought together.

I have quite a lot of crystal nails stuff already which I have bought recently though but I'm still saving to buy more at camp.

I think it's still great value for money as there basic sculpting kit isn't too expensive, I bought it for a course I took with them, and also they are flexible so if you have a lamp already usually they let you use it that sort of thing. Although I want to buy their LED/uv combo lamp!

It's correct you don't need to be CN trained to go but you do need to have 6 months experience to get the most out of it.

I wouldn't be able to afford it if CND did it looooool!

Right, thank you, that sounds much better! Now people know where they are in terms of what they've got to buy, because there was no mention of it in their blurb about the camp. I know they have their own lamp, but don't insist their gel wont cure properly if you use another brand's.

The products I've tried so far have all been excellent, so it would be a sound investment. Apart from their shellac art, Cnd don't really offer much on the artistic side of things eg one stroke/aquarelle/fine art and this is where I think Crystal Nails is really starting to score big points with techs!?!

Totally agreed! I love shellac but I want more of a challenge with my nails and I adore the technical side of nails! I too would like to specialise in extreme shapes I think it's a great USP. I can't believe I'm finally going to have the chance to learn it all at the same time!

For years, I was totally hooked on the likes of nfu on and ezflow coloured/glitter powders for artistic effect and interest. The downside of this is that they're so darn permanent! When you're fed up with it, it's a real pain to remove and start afresh.

With good quality artistic training and products, you can completely change your look more or less on a whim with paints and they look stunning once you're competent. The usual downside, though, is your 'Wrong' hand, unless you're ambidextrous - which I'm most definitely not! :grr:

For those of you actually using CN gel products - how are they compared to other products? Which hard gels are you using- Titanium-extreme-basic? Easy to use?
Thanks :)

I use titanium and I find it super easy to use- I would say it's medium to thick viscosity it's a bit like brisa- but runnier which for me is ideal because I find myself faffing with brisa a bit. Titanium gives a lot of strength and no lifting and virtually no heat spike but you do have to work thin or it yellows during the cure.

I also use their brilliant gels and hear changing gels which are amazing!

I haven't used their l&p.

Yesh im the same. Will be saving like mad so I will have enough for the kit and like you said it wont go to waste :) I think this is a brilliant opportunity.

We'll have to do a wee salon geek meet up lol
