Any recommendations for a good nail drill? Anything under £100 would be nice. So far I'm thinking the Mani-Pro although I'm worried it maybe too cheap and or unreliable for long term proffesional use.

What are you wanting to use it for exactly?

Best drills on the market for pro use are KUPA without a doubt.

I know you are not a drill user Gigi, what is it that makes them so different ?

I do not use one at every service, but I have been trained to use one and there are times when I do have a need for it though not usually for a nail service.

The drill I have is a good one, but it is not a KUPA. KUPA have the reputation of being the best quality and when you are making a substantial investment for an instrument like this it needs to be the best. It needs to LAST.

If you really are going to use a nail drill allot in your business, You want an instrument with variable rpms and different functions (forward and backward rotation ... a foot pedal ... an item that can be regularly maintained in tip top condition ... no vibration etc. KUPA have maintained a reputation in the industry for many many years and like CND have the history to prove it and they are still on top.

Acrylic nails mainly.

What I mean is do you want to use it for prepping for finishing for doing mainly maintenance??? All 3?
Or do you just want to use it for one particular thing or just to have it in case you want it (like me)

All three but mostly rebalance. I find it a nightmare with just a file!

Then you want a very strong and excellent quality nail drill.

Maybe you are using a product like concrete?? You do not say what brand you are using in your profile (why not fill it out so that we have a bit of your nail history?) but there are alternatives to using products that are rock hard.

New to the site. I'll fill it out sometime. Mainly using it to get feedback on what the best equipment for me is out there so I can start doing mobile as well as salon work. Would you say the Kupa Mani-pro falls into the excellent quality bracket?

If its KUPA it will be good quality ... it is a lighter weight drill than the big pro one.

Most important question if you buy a nail drill is can you get it serviced regularly! All nail drills need regular servicing and if this service is not offered or you can't get it then don't buy it.

Thanks for your help. Anyone who has had experience with the Mani-pro. Please feel free to comment.
