Hi

I have a client with a disability. She is in a wheelchair, really tiny nails - think of the smallest tip you can apply and thats the thumbs! and I have spent three months working with her. The first set I applied were rubbish and lasted about a week (UV odourless) I have then moved on to other l&p which are brilliant for her but I still get two nails flicking off on the index finger of each which she says are the ones she uses to move her wheelchair - no damage to her nails which she loves - prior to me she had damage. Is there anything I can do to stop this.
I test everything on me and my partner - bless him he had minx on his toes for weeks and he is a PE teacher in trainers all day - best test ever!!!!! But I digress - please help if you can!

xxxxxx

you could try building the apex more on these problem nails. that might help them take the extra strain.

try reinforcing the stress area with a piece of silk have done this on a couple of clients who break the same nails and worked a treat x

hey, i had a client in a wheelchair too and she had tiny nails. I kept them really short. french l@p and they lasted for weeks, until her own nails grew underneath. She was a nailbiter. Think you just have to keep length short.

Hi Thanks eveyone - I built up her apex on these two fingers earlier today so we will see - still looked a bit flat IMO but had to be careful as they are so tiny and difficult to apply so they do not look bulbous. Experience will help I am sure - she was one of my first clients - so huge learning curve!!!

xx
