Hi I am training to be a nail tech, and looking at what products i should start using with customers (Will be working form home and mobile to start with)
I love the look of and good publicity that Nails Inc gets, does anyone know what it's actually like to work with and would they recommend?

Many thanks

Hey Minnie, i have a few nails inc nail polishes there ok but i have better polishes in my collection my fav is attitude.
i went for an interview there lol they are very unprofessional and the products they use arnt great and bad hygiene and didnt take the job thank goodness.
but they do have a really nice colection of colours avaliable i just think theres better brands avaliable for a much lower cost. :)

Thanks you are not far from me, Sheffield, I am in Lincoln-I have had many good nights out in Sheffield..!!!

What would you recommend?

Who are you training with and what products are you using?

Do you have problems with your existing products?

I will be doing an intensive course at a training centre, and not using any products as yet. I wil get a kit with products in when i do course but looking what products i can start using, Am looking to practice on close family and friends to start with

As each products workability are different, I would suggest that you wait until you see what you get on your course. You will only confuse yourself if you are training with one product but using another at home. Once you have honed your skills then if you are not happy with what you are using, that would be the time to look to change.

Then you will be experienced enough to know that any problems you might be having are product rather than technicians skill related.

Hope that helps.

Yes definietly
Thanks

Hiya Hun, I used to work for Nails Inc. and i loved there products. Their polishes are fantastic they really last well but the one thing I will say is they take forever to dry which is not always good. I agree with the above comment the hygiene leaves a hell of a lot to be desired!! lol That was one reason why I left together with the fact it was more about selling products than the actual customers.

I'm now mobile myself and I personally like to use professional only products or a brand that the public are not familiar with I.E Creative, but I have found as long as the colour lasts and it is reletively quick to dry the clients tend to go with you and at £10.50 a pot there much more expensive than other brands. HTH

Nails Inc don't have their own branded l/p or gel system. Their branded retail products are polishes, oils, top and base coats, lotions etc.

yes, they used to use creative but i believe they swapped to ez flow, and they dont use a well known brand of gel it was a calcium gel or something. Been racking my brains trying to remember but its not happening!! lol

Nails Inc currently use EzFlow High Definition as their acrlyic system, and Biosculpture Gel as their Gel system. HTH

oooohhh its changed. We only used to use Biosculpture as everlasting polish.

I went past there yesterday at it was £50.00 for a full set!!! and £10.50 for a pot of polish! I stood talking to a friend for 10 minutes and 3 customers walked away after commenting on the prices.

the prices probably explains why nobody came in while i was having my interview for 2 hours

lol - yes exactly. There is a difference if you are sending out top quality work then fair enough but they only gave us an hour for a full set and in that we have to do a consultation, prep, tip, blend, acrylic or gel, buff and finish, sell products, pay and paint!!!!!!!!! Now unless your superwoman lol i dont think that is realistic! lol There producst are great though its such a shame they turned so sales orientated.
