This client has been to me 3 times now and she has been to other places before me. She barley makes it to the 2 week infil as most of her nails are off. She says this is really goog for her as other places she's been to they tend to cone off after 4 days and she never has infils always a new set every time. Her nail beds are good no damage to them and she has a good length of nail as well. I think she produces alot of oils in her nails thats why they lift and flick off but shes really happy with my work and that they last nearly 10/12 days. Is there anything else i can do. I use young nails protein bond and nsi acrylic i have also used nsi primer but they came off quicker than the protein bond. Any advice would be great.

Does she give you any clues as to why and how they come off? Do they lift from the sides, separate from the free edge, crack or break? Are they off clean or bits left on? What's her job? Does she follow all your aftercare and avoid damaging products? Is she taking any medication esp hormonal ie pill, HRT etc?

I'd be asking her this sort of stuff and looking for clues there.

She doesn't work and they come clean off and shes not on any medication either. I told her when she comes in i might try the hard gel on her as the acrylics dont last especially when she has been to other places in the past. She never expects a discount she always pays full price and even tips me as mine have lasted longer than everyone elses.

Does she shower or swim just before coming to you? It's possible the nails are still moist and nothing adheres properly.

But sometimes you just get someone who really doesn't suit enhancements for some reason. It's so annoying isn't it. In my 12 year career I've only come across 2. But if you're doing better than the others that's encouraging!:)

Hi I need help I am new to this I have been doing acrylics now for just over a year I use cnd retention,,, I have been having a problem with living my nails ping off after a week or so it's so frustrating the clients don't want to come back as there unhappy with the length of time they last I follow the guide lines they set I prep nail but for some reason there lifting I have stuck with this product as I have had advice to get to know the product I practise all the time on my practice nails but I don't want to keep letting the clients down just need some help really X X

Hi lottielala, how long ago did you train? Have you still got your training manual etc? Xx

Yeh I'm always looking for what I could be doing wrong I'm constantly searching for answers I'm not sure maybe I'm not getting the ratio right as I'm really particular on my prep X

Who was your training with? X

I trained with essential nails and they used an acrylic range of dreams I think I really didn't like it so I did a day with cnd retention which I seemed to get on well with and that's what I have been using since I didn't know whether to change to a different product I am completely lost I really enjoy the nail industry I trained first in manicure and pedicure then I did acrylic then I did gel which I passed all really high on just feeling a little deflated my clients all live the end result say I'm professional they love the experience but are not happy with it being 10 or so days befor the nails lift,,,
They seem to lift from the cuticle half way down the nail and eventually ping off have you any advice please X

There's definitely no need to change system, you should be spot on with CND.

Could you go through your prep stages... :)

Have you also any pics of your work to see if any signs of what could cause the lifting.

These are a few any ideas X X

Okay firstly I sanitise client my hands apply cuticle remover wait the minute push back and remove any skin then ask client to wash hands I buff the nails take away any shine I apply my tips shape then I apply nail dehydrator then wipe with clean away apply the primer then I apply the acrylic X

Here's some others can you zoom in? X

I can't watch it ☹ X

Lottielala- your nail looks quite big, what size brush are you using, also are your starting your first bead at the free edge and working down, I tend to do a small, medium, small 3 balls from free edge to cuticle.
Prep wise I push cuticle back, file with a 150 lightly, dehydrate, tip on, file sides in, prime, 3 step ball process, cuticle oil, file, topcoat or gel polish.

150 grit?? Is this to remove the shine?

I can zoom in but then they're not clear enough, they need to be close up pics.
