Need a bit of advice, please ;)

I have just started my VCTC manicure and pedicure certificate to get used to working with nails before training to do acrylics......but I have hit a bit of a stumbling block.

Enamelling!

I am hopeless at it! I can get it on the nails ok, but then it just seems to stay tacky forever! I apply a base coat, 2 coats of colour, then either a top coat or a rapid dry thingie.

Can anyone give me any hints, please?

Not particularly, Becki. I am mobile so I am never in the same place - but the rooms dont seem too cold.

ARE YOU USING A professional brand of enamel, top coat and base coat?

Hiya Geeg - thank you for your reply and the link......I will be trying your technique on my 8 year old daughter in a minute

I am using a couple of Creative colours and their Toughen Up plus Super Shiney, so I know the enamels arnt to blame ......tis just me!
