 SO I HAVE THIS CLIENT WHO IS ALWAYS RIPPING HER NAILS OFF AND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE NAIL PLATE IT GETS REALLY BAD AND I HAVE TO LEAVE THEM OFF FOR A FEW WEEKS BUT SHE IS NOT LEARNING AND LEAVING THEM ALONE I HAVE BEEN DOING NAILS FOR A YR AND A HALF AND I HAVE NEVER HAD LIFTING PROBLEMS AT ALL I HAVE CLIENTS WHO CAN GO OUT 6 WEEKS WITH NO LIFTING .........BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS ONE CLIENT AND NOW HER SISTER WHO ALSO COMES TO ME IS ALSO DOING IT HELP????

HOW DO I GET HER TO STOP I'M SCARED SHE WILL GET AND INFECTION OR SOMETHING ???

I had one gal like this and I finally said that I can't keep doing her nails b/c each time the damage gets worse. I told her she had to seriously work on this before I'd do her nails again. Guess what ... she went to Walmart and bought some stick on nails!

I had a client like this also and in the end I had to be quite firm but fair with her. I told her that I could no longer do her enhancements as she had damaged her nails far too much at the same time I gave her an incentive - if she stopped picking/biting/peeling her nails for 2 weeks then I would do her a lux manicure with 10% off the price and you know what?? It worked! she now has gorgeous natural nails!!

Mmm...in my opinion i don't think we should be taking resopsibility for the behaviour of our clients. Educate, yes. Tell them what this is doing to their nails but offeirng a reduced rate makes me uneasy. Its not our responsibility.

Do you think the dentist would reduce his prices if we promised to floss...I don't think so,x
