hi hun,
some questions hun
1. how are you cleaning your brush
2. how are you storing your brush
3. is your brush a good quality sable brush

Hi there, no you need to get rid of the gum first, you will notice at first that your brush is hard, this is the gum that keeps the shape of it until it is ready to be used.

What you need to do is roll it in a lint free pad to get rid of this, when you do it, it will look as if your brush has dandruff
Once that is gone, you need to give your brush a good drink in monomer and start to shape it. Then your brush will be ready to use.

hth and don't forget to give your brush a name :lol:

Hi Fifitrix

I have just purchased what i think is a good brush from NSI, it cost £25 so i hope it is..i will do as you say this time..thanks again

mmmm....now what to call her??!!

Hi Joanne

I have been cleaning my brush with a purchased brush cleaner but have since read on here that monomer will do the trick! I have also been storing my brush in the packet it came in and i think this was causing me some problems...i saw a link on here today that suggested several alternatives such as a toothbrush holder etc. i have learned today the importance of looking after your brush so will keep that up from now on...thanks for your help!
