I will be having my training with Couture on Tuesday and would like to be able to start spraying the public asap at training rates. Well in my new little salon I have a small room which is about 5.5 foot square, with largish windows on opposite walls. One window looks out onto the main road and the other is an internal window. There is no door to the room which will make spraying much easier.
It isn't quite big enough for a tanning tent but I obviously need something to-

  • protect the walls/floors
  • to keep it totally private
I have looked at shower rails and shower curtains but I'm not sure that will look really professional.

Any ideas/suggestions on what I can use and which will look good too.

dont know if this works for you but i know people who just tiled one corner with white tiles. very easy to clean.x

I simply have mirrored one wall in my studio, put a large black towel on the floor and use a good extractor.....and have no overspray problems at all with this. The tall long thin or tiled mirrors from Ikea do the job well and look very professional. They also reflect the light - another good advantage!

I too thought of shower curtains, but I just couldn't reconcile myself to them being as professional as I wanted it to look....the mirrors however look fab.

If you are thinking about the window, why not get some 'film' for the inside that gives the one-way mirrored window effect. My husband can get hold of it through his business if you can't find it elsewhere.

Thanks guys.
Unfortunately I can't tile anywhere because out of the 3 walls, 2 have windows and the other is the old connecting door to the next office. (Now screwed closed!)

Gill I had seen those screens and am wondering if they would actually be my best option.

I also like the sound of the mirrored effect on the windows. Would it have a blackout effect though? The internal window looks onto the hallway so it wouldn't be good to have a silhouette of some poor woman shining through!

You can buy sticky backed stuff that looks like frosted glass to stick on its good as its not cheap.providing a client isnt right up against it there wouldnt be much to see the back of the cubicle would be against one window.
Or what about verticle blinds in a light colour then they can be opened or pulled across.
