New treatments

hello
as you all know i am new to the whole beauty world and i'm just wondering probally sound very stupid but you don't get no where unless you ask questions haha where do you find out about the new 'buzz' things in beauty/treatments? should i be joing every mailing list i can find? finding out where next gmex type events are being held and go to as many as i can? is there a magazine i should be subscribing to?

Forums are good not just in this country but the American and Australian ones because some things that are out there are not here yet and vice versa .
I go on quite a few although this is the best for nails and beauty. Although another is better for holistic treatments and advice although sometimes a bit away with the fairies .
Of course trade shows and yes professional mags.
