hi all, hope you can help. iv just done a manicure and the lady smokes and only her index finger nail is discoloured (brown) not really brown but you can tell. She has lovely long nails and only likes clear or a french polish. she does wear clear all the time. she has asked me what she can do to get the nail looking the same as the others, i told her i would get back to her... but i really dont know what she can do? help please.. a friend of the ladys said to put her finger in bleach but i told her not to do that as it will be damaging to the nail and skin...
can someone give me some advice on what to do.
thanks everyone xx:green::green:

Did you try to buff the nail with a light grit file, like 280?
If it's because of the smoking, it should be helpful, as the nicotine colors only top layers of the nail surface. Also, in some brands there are such special treatments - whiteners. As far as I remeber, there is one represented in Orly products. It works like a light whitener, and at the same time it doesn't overdry the skin and nails.

Get some 'bubble white' from your local Sally's.

It's fantastic stuff, I use it alot. It's great for cleaning the backs of the nails under enhancements too.

Hi, i agree with lisa i find it good aswell, also nail bright works ok.Or try using some fresh lemon and rub it on the staining.HTH's x

Use a fine grit buffer like a white block or CND Koala (used in the direction of nail growth); this will remove the staining in a jiffy.

The client should be advised by you to wash her hands more often and give her nails a good scrub to keep them looking clean and bright.

get half a lemon, sprinkle it liberally with salt and give the finger a good scrub, she should do this twice a week .....
