Hi all and happy new year! I am still training as a nail tech so if there is an obvious solution to this thats why i dont know! I've been wearing a NNO on my own nails for a week now and im really pleased as i've no lifting at all around the cuticle or side walls, but i am starting to chip a little now at the free edge on a few nails. Is it as simple as needing to do it thicker? I had a search on here and i found lots of info about gels as a NNO and capping the free edge but not much for l&p. or could it be my product ratio is wrong? Also whats the best way to tidy it all up?
thanks for your help! xx

A good quality cuticle oil will help a bit.

The main problem in find with NNO is ..... the client is used to a bit a flexibility and "give" in a natural nail, this is taken away with a coating and that small amount of flexibility that you used to have is taken for granted, you can no longer clean under them by flexing between your teeth, hubbies screwdriver or using a bread knife .... things have to be taken with a little more care.:)
So many people unconsciously play with their nails in their mouth too.

Thank you, yeah i have been using cuticle oil but not as religiously as i would tell a client to do it lol! But you are definatley right about the flexibility aspect, and it is mostly my right hand that the free edge has chipped, and being right handed that would explain some of it, i shall be more careful in future!
