My friend has been training really really hard for the last 3-4 years to be a nurse....Uni...placings...homework...and with 4 kids and home to keep. She gave up a good and well paid job to do this.

Now she will be qualified soon and has been told there are no jobs for her !!!!...they are very short staffed and run off there feet, but no money to pay wages...so no jobs.

She has asked about working privately but they only want nurses with years and years of experiance...and she loves working for the NHS.....its such a shame and she must feel so deflated.

Its mad !!!!

That's ridiculous !

I hope our next prime minister sorts our health care and education systems out, seem to me they are going no where fast !

i know... my mate works at ipswich hospital and has done for years.. they are understaffed as well but have had to get rid of staff cos they are over budget.. the thing is they are getting rid of staff with loads of qualifaction cos they cost to much... go figure...

there was also a thing on the radio that cos ipswich were doing op quick and getting the waiting lists down too fast that the goverment wernt willing to pay for these ops.. dddrrrr i thought they wanted to get the waiting lists down.. it has something to do with waiting lists should be 3 month not straight away... i did not hear the rest cos i was to busy shouting at the radio about it...

anyway my mate has been told that she may not have a job at christmas:cry::cry::cry: she has a morgage and two kids to surrpot

I was talking about this very thing yesterday with a friend. She is waiting for some treatment and is on a long waiting list. The reason given was staff shortages - so she said what if I pay for private care - the response was "the waiting list is as long for that as it is for NHS because, the doctors and nurses that run this clinic are actually NHS staff with additional private clinics to run"

But yet as with so many other hospitals, one of the main hospitals in Leeds is cutting specialist nurses by 50% 700 to 350 - madness.

Angie give your friend a big hug from me - perhaps we should try and getting some funding and create our own national health:rolleyes:

Its ridiculous, the way the nhs is you would think they'd be desperate for nurses :irked:

A friend of mine is newly qualified as a phsio and after a 3 month tempoary placement she has no job. The hospital has no money to keep her on & there are no jobs anywhere else.

I hope your friend gets something sorted very soon  xx

Just you watch.

In a few years time there will be a massive shortage of trained nurses because nobody trained because there is currently no jobs.

I do feel for these nurses who give up so much of their lives for their training only to be kicked in the teeth.

Hiya

Try the beauty industry?

Nurse and Dr's are the only people who can train to inject Botox and dermal fillers.
You can do a course in london and have a harley st Dr that will help with all consent forms and even talk to the client.
I think they charge £500 for the course with botox to start you off.
My pal did this course Flash Page

If you want any info on this course mail me..my pal did it and it comes recommended

I have a client...young...but who has gone thru 2 years of nursing training to be told that her last year....well her last year is non existent....she has been told to appealfor her place..... and has just been told her appeal has been rejected!

She has been sooooo passionate about her career and the last two years have been in effect wasted!!!!!
what a waste!

My best mate trained to be a nurse and she carnt find a job....so shes back to being a stay at home mum

I am a nurse working with premature babies we have restrictions on how many staff we can employ luckily no one has yet to be threatened with loosing a job. It appalls me when I have nurses applying for jobs and that they are presently working as support workers even though they are fully qualified.:irked:
I hope my salon takes off so that I have security for my family, hoping to find time to do a nail course in the future so that I can work in the salon as well.

But i really do love my nursing job although it has its highs and its lows but I get to cuddle lots of babies but leave them with their mums its great being a special aunty!!!!!
