I have a college assessment to do some non conventional way of setting hair . What different tools or items have you used to Create some volume or texture ? :)
 
I can think of the Lady Gaga tin can set - is that the sort of thing you mean?

Rags? Pipe cleaners, bottle brush x
 
Ooh this takes me back.....20 years ago when I was at college(eek!) I did a set using coke cans & one using empty tint tubes!xxx

I knew a girl who used bananas! Was for a competition where only completely natural tools etc could be used. No idea how she actually put them in, applied heat etc tho lol x

tin foil is quite good. use it like bendy rollers or flatten it and fold hair over it to create zig zag like waves

I rag my step daughters hair and it creates such tight curls that are so doll like.
