Hello,

I am a newbie to to this site, currently training in NSI Attraction Acrylic system and enjoying the course so far. Once I am trained, I will be moving closer to family and starting up as a mobile nail technician in Herts - which is a far cry from where I currently call home. But just want to know if this is too soon to start trading, as I will have just completed my training?

Its the only way you are going to get experience:eek: not a lot of point in sitting around going rusty is there?
Now, please do not take this the wrong way but is there any chance you can get some salon experience where you are currently living before you move home?
This is because when you first qualify its nice if you can have some experienced techs around you to show you how they set up between clients store their products and see where you can improve your service.
When I started I did summer holiday cover and the girls there showed me that while I thought my prep was good I acutely would have had a lot of lifting problems because I wasn't spending enough time on it. I also got a chance to see how to deal with a nail biter and as they put it, I made all my mistakes in their salon before moving on to people and places who didn't know me:green:

Oh nearly forgot, welcome to the mad house lol

Thanks for the reply and I recognise that there is no point sitting around as u say going rusty - as for the salon experience, I am currently working full time making it impossible to go to work in a salon, even on a part time basis and due to personal circumstances, I cannot afford to work part time at the moment! I would really love to have this experience as I can see how valuable it would be and the insight that it can give me. Thank you again for your reply - this is something I definately feel would be a benefit - something I need to think about.

I was unable to get any salon experience and spent some time working on friends and family at a very low price until I felt brave enough to launch myself on the public.:) HTH
