I can't believe it I have just got back from the doctors as I had a small growth on the tip of my finger next to the nail and they have told me it is a wart! I am trained in manicure/pedicure and currently learning Nail technology - does this mean that I can't work!??
Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do? I have got a fluid from the doctor to use but she said it could take up to 12 weeks aaahhh!

You must wear a glove/gloves during treatments or keep it covered with a bandage. My opinion is that wearing a glove would be the more comfortable and cleaner looking option.

don't they burn\freeze it off anymore>? my son had one about 3 yrs ago and doc froze it off....well thats old way i know during nursing years..my dad used to get bothered with warts and he used to wrap duct tape round them ...strange but true it burnt them off and killed the virus..as geeg has advised wear gloves till it clears

Your correct Janey K you can actually buy the product yourself, over the counter, from the chemist. I use to use on the kids for the verrucas and I'm sure it also works for warts. Virtually instant, you may only then need to wear gloves for a very short time, till it frizzles up and drops off, nice!!! X

Not usually nowadays, however I believe if you tell them it may affect you working...they sometimes take quicker action such as freezing them.

I suffered with warts when I was a teenager, I think I got them from vending machines. However, the best and quickest way I found of getting rid of them was to put the leaf of a Flaming Katie plant on the wart and then wrap it in a plaster.

You then need to leave that plaster on for a good 5 days or so dependant on the size of the wart. U can put another plaster on top but that original plaster needs to stay on so the leaf doesn't move.

You will find that when u remove the plaster the wart will come away, it's similar to burning it off but naturally.

This also works for Verucas.

Although you need to wear gloves for hygiene, be sure to change them often as the wart virus will love the hot moist environment created by the gloves.

Good luck.

This is just what worked for me, as with anything, be careful. :)
