Hi Ladies!

I have a new customer coming to me on Wednesday for a pedicure. She has had her nails done previously, and says that the polish never lasts more than a day on her due to her have having oily nail plates.:irked:. I have promised her that my pedicure will last a lot longer than that!!

I use Jessica products in the salon, and was just wondering what base coat would be best to use on her? I attended training two weeks ago, and don't recall there being a particular base coat that would be suitable for this kind of nail. If there isn't a particular base to use, then maybe I will need to do something extra to prepare the nails for the polish??

Thanks,
Kim x

It is the nail cleanser/dehydrator that will remove the oil from her nail plates and make the polish stick for longer,
give each nail a really good scrub with some on a lint free pad for about 5 secs each,
any decent base coat will do the job, i like sticky base coat and scrubfresh from creative hth

You could also try gently removing the shine from the nail surface using a 240 grit file like when doing enhancements, prior to using the nail prep (eg scrubfresh or similar).

Hi Kim
As both Louise and FemmaFan has said...

The secret is a squeaky clean base to apply so a temporary dehydrator is key. My toe nails with CND cololor last up to 5 weeks with Scrubfresh, Stickey Base Coat, 2 coats of CND Colour and a good top coat (I use Super Shiny).

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice. Think I have some scrub fresh left from when I did my training with Creative so will try to dig it out from my cupboard!! :green: I didn't even think about using this, because I've only ever used it when doing enhancements, not natural nails ( if that makes sense??!!).
