Which is it?

This is sparked by family differences, probably down to where you come from more than anything else, I reckon.... my husbands family come from Hampshire/ Dorset and all say scone to rhyme with gone, my family come from the London area and say scone as in bone

What do you say? Maybe we can find out which is more popular lol

Scone - gone x

Bone...my family is half from Surrey and half from Ireland if you think location makes a difference ;) xx

Oh forgot to say I'm in Hampshire but 2 miles down the road is dorset x

Scone as in gone in a flash with cream and jam. I don't mind which way the jam and cream is (apparently this is important in some parts of the country) as it always tastes the same to me.

Scone as in bone! I always read it as "s-CONE" :p

Cream first, then jam on top of it. I'm in Kent.

Xxx

Is it Cornwall and Devon where it matters ? I saw a programme on it once , could be wrong ( probably am l ) x

We'd think anyone saying the 'gone' version was trying to be posh. lol

Ooh you've got me thinking now. I actually can't think what I call them!
First I thought it was gone and then I thought maybe I do call them bone!
Oh I don't know now I'm thinking about it! I never eat them so I just can't think.
Maybe it is gone. But then maybe it's bone hmmmmmmmmmmm

Scone-bone also Dorset/Hampshire originally😊

This may sound strange, but I say both, lol! It just depends how it coms out at thetime :) What should I enter in the poll then?
