Thankyou :) I used wella colour touch 7/1 on regrowth then smudged down ct 8/0&6/37,she already had highlights so I left majority out with conditioner, then some pieces I used kp 9/16 then ct 9/36 on the mid length to ends to soften.thankyou X

Here's one from today. I've gotten better at remembering to take before and after pictures!

Hi hailskay did you use 4% or 1.9%. What natural base was she x

Just thought I'd put on a wee selection of my ombré and Balayage styles.. Sorry I couldn't find many straight ones as everyone seems to like fuller hair these days! Hope you like :) x

Root stretch ombré. No filter

Hi,
I've been meaning to ask some advise on ombré and suddenly found this thread which has been very helpful.... But in still a little confused.
When you say that you" applied the root colour then used a lighter colour blending it in slightly to avoid lines" do you mean all by freehand?? No foils mech used?? And how do you tackle this?? By applying the root colour as you would a normal root colour in four sections and then subsections or differently??
Sorry for all the questions but I'm a traditional foils girl and just trying to get my head around ombré and balayage techniques.
Xxx

Love this look!!!! Anybody in the burton on Trent area that can do this with pre bonded extensions???? X

I'm having real issues with my ombré/balayage! I've never had a client complain and they've always been completely happy but I just never feel satisfied with it. To me, they just don't look blended enough and sometimes look quite patchy in my opinion. The majority of the time I do it all freehand using either wella free lights or blondor and then tone with the crazy colour or tint if required .
I'll attach some photos...if people can give me some pointers as to where I'm going wrong, it would be a huge help xx

Hmm i agree, they do look a bit patchy.

What technique are you using to apply freehand?

What sectioning pattern do you use?
