Oh no i have a client this evening and she usually has autumn gold and its all gone green in the bottle.

Should i use 12% instead or would that be too dark, or 10%?

She is quite dark skinned.

Thanks

When I did my spray tan training over 5 years ago with the original Tantrick owners (the lovely Mandy and Stu) I was told that the original Tantrick solutions would never show a green 'ring' when tested on couch roll like you would get with many other brands that had 'oxidised' as it has a red spectrum in the tan and I found this to be so true, even with bottles that were a couple of years old, they never looked like they had 'turned'. I think the solution has been changed of late as I opened a new bottle of 12% the other day and it had totally oxidised and to me was unfit to use on a client, very dissapointing really.

Anyway,as for the new 'intellegent' liquids that are sold by the new owners of Tantrick ie Autume Gold and Essence of Summer, these have a green spectrum. My one and only bottle of Essence of Summer was totally green from word go but I was assured that this is because of the green spectrum and was totally fine to use. It put me off using it actually but many geeks on here rave about it. I do like the Autume Gold and this again has a green tinge after a while but I have sprayed reluctantly with this when its looking green and the client has not complained, so I think its quite ok to use when its green. I am not convinced but as long as I don't get any complaints then I will use up my stock.

If your client is quite dark skinned then I would go for the 12%, its not that dark really and should be fine on a darker skinned client. If your client isn't really looking for a darker tan, then use your 10% on them, it will still be fairly darkish on a darker skinned base.

Impulse1976 came to my salon last summer and sprayed me with some of my essence of summer that had gone bright green (it couldnt have been any brighter lol)
i had been told the same from the head office that it would be fine so i wanted to test it out for myself,
the tan developed just the same as it would usually and looked just as great as it always does when i showered off the guide colour,
lasted just the same too,

spray her with the A/G hun, it will be fine

The AG and EOS solutions do indeed ,as you were taught,in fact contain green as its base colour so solutions that show a green tinge are perfectly good for use.

In so far as your one and only bottle of EOS is concerned Jen this was the sample bottle we gave you over a year and a half ago now :eek:so its doing very well then I guess..as for the AG you have this to is now over a year old(Aug 2008:eek:)

In so far as the original Tantrick solutions are concerned these have in deed changed,as you well know,to keep up with the times and are now Paraben free.

I personally hated it and that is why I wouldn't actually buy some. The AG that I use is actually current stock thank you. :irked::irked: I use this quite regularly and like it, I just don't buy it from you at the present time!

Ah, I didnt actually know this, that would account for the dissapointing bottle that had oxidised then. What a shame to change the original winning formula after all this time... oh humm... I will have to make sure I buy it in smaller quantities from my supplier just in case I have more wasted stock then.

HTH

Don't be confused.com Collin, don't even give it another thought, I know I certainly won't!

If not buying from the one and only legitimate supplier how can you guarantee that you are buying current stock which hasn't been tampered with.
As professionals surely we owe it to ourselves and our clients to ensure we use authorised distributers, then we can be 100% certain that we are using only quality product, and we also benefit from the fantastic customer support that our distributers also offer???? I don't understand why you would purchase elsewhere and risk being suppplied with a product which isn't up to scratch?
JMHO, it might be a good idea to get your future stock direct from Tantrick, then if you have problems you may just be justified in complaining if the product isn't satisfactory!!

Well said Lou, it could have been anything in the bottles.

What ever your agenda is here, other than trying to say I am using out of date stock, your attack on me is totally un warrrented as I just wanted to reply to the original posters question regarding AG. The fact that I mentioned that I was dissapointed in a bottle of original solution I bought not so long ago had indeed oxidised shouldnt have warrented your response. I didnt even mention in my original post that the solution did indeed come from your company and not Salonlines whom I now purchase from.

I have bought original tantrick solution and AG from Salonlines which is freely available to anyone who uses the internet. I didn't realise this was an illigitimate source, it is certainly not Ebay which is what I feel is being suggested in previous posts.

Now that you have told me the original solution has changed I am more than happy to change brands and sourse a new modern solution that is on the market.. heck there is plenty to choose from and one that I wish to support with my hard earned money.

If you feel you have anything else to say on the matter, please can you do it via PM so that this thread isn't turned into yet another promotional thread for your company.:zzz:

Whoops sorry think i have caused a bit of stress here.

Just to let you know i put the "green" solution into the bottle and tested it on my couch roll, the colour that came out put my client off so i used 12%, the colour looked lovely on her and she has re-booked.

Good for you for working round it Samantha, don't worry about the 'stress'!! It happens!! My earlier response was not in any way aimed at you. You asked a genuine question and were looking for advice :) Sometimes people take advantage of another persons problem with a product and use it to 'jump on the bandwagon' and air their own grievances, which isn't what the forum is about.

Glad you got it sorted and your client was happy.......shame about the green solution, a good excuse to give yourself a nice tan regularly though.....spray in your own home, go to bed then when you get up and wash the 'iffy' guide off you'll still have a lovely tan, and noone will know any different......that's what I would do anyway!!!!

Glad you got things sorted and that your client was happy at the end of the day...the 12% original will in fact be darker for her than the 8.5%EOS so no wonder she is happy .

Just to clarify.....when you sprayed the couch roll it will show up the green colour base which doesn't mean it wont still provide a great tan outcome.

If its any help...PM me your addy and I will happily send you a fresh new bottle of EOS to have a play with.

HTH and well done
