Hi Everyone!
Right i am just about to enrol myself onto a nail course and after weeks of looking at all of them the best one t me has been the open college nail technician course. The only thing is that i'd like to know if anyone out there has done this particular course and if they found it a good course?
Also i need to check that what i get when i complete the course is recognised in the nail industry and not just within the open college if you get my meaning. I've had a look through threads on here but cant find anyone who's done this one... At the end of the course i will get,

Nail Technician - Professional DiplomaEntitles you to use the letters "SAC Dip" after your name.NCFE Level 3 Nail Technician Diploma - Professional AwardLeads to an NCFE Level 3 Award Certificate for successful learners.I will learn...

  • Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin
  • Anatomy of the Nail
  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • The Process of Nail Growth
  • Client Consultation and Communication
  • Tip Types and Tip Customisation
  • The Gel System
  • Acrylics and tip application
  • The Fibre System & Maintenance
  • Nail Enhancement Removal
  • Health and Hygiene
  • Marketing and Starting your own Salon/Nail Business
So it all sounds great but then doesnt everything? So if anyone can look at this and say yep its above board and it will teach me evrything i need then great or if anyones done this actual course-is it any good???

Any info you got will be great and much appreciated
Thank you
Laura! xxxx :green::)

Hi Laura,

Can i ask first is this a college you will attend or is it a home learning course?

It would be a home learning course xx

It would be a home learning course xx

Hmm see this is something i wouldnt recommend hun, as you would need practical learning and someone to watch over you and correct mistakes etc. Haved u searched of beauty schools in your area?xx
