painting over gel

Hi Geeks... this may sound a daft question and yes i am having a blonde day, have a good friend that wants natural tips with glaze and go uv top coat, witch is fine but she wants me to then paint her nails red and as i 'v never had a clients that wants there nails painted over glaze and go... i'm not sure if you can.. as i said it may be obvious but its best to check
