Hello all,

Having a scroll through some of the fantastic pics on here and i'm intrigued as on some of them it appears that a pale almost chalky pink acrylic has been used on the nail bed, almost like a masked effect which i think looks excellent. Can this be achieved by adding a fine amount of white to the pink or would a pink 'masque' powder have the same effect.

Just a thought x

People are using specially mixed opaque powders that were first introduced by CND.

At first we mixed our own but now the guess work has been taken away with premixed colours for different skin tones.

If you mix your own colours and get the tone wrong for the skin it looks vile and fake so unless you are very good at mixing powders I would by a nice neutral shade that will suit most and go from there.

i see that you use nsi products, they do a really great opaque powder called purely pink masque it is a lovely colour which my clients love and so do i.i am currently wearing it myself (pics in album) its very easy to use and suits alot of people.
nsi may give you a free sample if you ask,if not then you wont be disapointed if you buy it.
nsi number is 0500 131 009

I love the NSI purely pink masque on everyone else, but applied some to mine last week (to practice pressing in zone 3 to see if solves my slight lifting problem as you suggested) and hate the look (on me) in zone 3 when starts growing out. My question, do you use it in all 3 zones? Was thinking of applying different colour to zone 3? Worried it wouldnt look even and uniform if I did. Any ideas? I dont know how to custom blend colours and my nails seem to have a bluish/purple tone to them compared to the purely pink masque, would I mix a little blue into it? x

i personally couldnt be bothered with the hassel of custom blending.
you can apply something like radiant pink or even clear l&p in zone 3 that would be prefectly fine to do,just make sure that you blend the purely pink masque well at the end of zone 2 so you dont get a obvious colour difference.
i use purely pink masque in all 3 zones.x
