Hi, some advice needed please!

I have a few pamper party's booked in over the next couple of weeks, I haven't done one before so I'm very nervous! I've not been doing mobile beauty that long either!

I offer 2 twenty minute treatments for £15pp and they can choose from mini mani, mini pedi, mini facial, hand/foot massage

I have 4 people booked in at each one and realise i have got to stick to my timings if i want to go home at a reasonable hour!

So my question is what would you offer in a mini mani or a mini pedi to be able to stick to the 20 minute treatment time? Would a file and polish be ok or would you think people would expect more?

Also, do you think it would be unreasonable of me to ask everyone to take their existing nail/toe polish off before they come or even give them some polish remover whilst they wait for their treatments to save time??

Thanks so much!

Pamper parties are a great way of getting more clients. I recently did a party of 10 and 8 of them have come back to me for other treatments.
I did a mini package of mini mani.mini pedi and mini facial. Or 1 hours treatment of any one thing.
It will only take you a few mins to remove the polish. I wouldn't cut corners as it may stop clients wanting your services next time. Treat them exactly the same as you would do if you wernt doing a pamper party.
all i didnt do was soak. I Filed, cuticle work, mini massage and polish.
I got tipped £100, i was well chuffed :)
I did all the pedis first then all the manis then all the facials. That way everyone gets a turn without waiting ages.
Good luck hun, hope it goes well for you xxx

Hi

I do sanitise feet, file, cuticle work, polish. Make sure you have a list so that they can pick the colour of the polish before its their turn - the night will go smoother then. Also, have some soothing music playing and light some scented candles.

It will only take seconds to remove their old polish so don't fret about that.

If you can stretch to it buy some cheap pedi slippers and give them out, don't foget things like toe seperators on the night and a quick drying polish spray! HTH

I always soak (if you can take two foot spa's for pedi you can have one soaking whilst o work on another)file, cuticle work (nothing too intense!) massage and polish. I find that the clients want the massage and the perfect polish out of everything. Same with the manicure.
Mini treatments are really to give the client a taster of what hour long treatment would be like. I think a mini manicure/pedicure definately suggests more than a file and polish. Good luck!

These clients could be potentiality new regulars, telling all their friends about the wonderful pamper parties you offer, try and fit as much into the treatment (without breaking your back) the thing most people enjoy most in a pedi...mani is the massage - make it shorter than usual but make it good (lol) :) relax and try and enjoy the night...sometimes I forget I'm working and get carried away with having a laugh :) Let us know how you get on xx

I do file, hand scrub (with the most delicious hand scrub I found recently), massage, then polish for my mini manis and the same with my pedis but leaving out the scrub as you have to wash the salt off and I find that it gets everywhere and is too hard to get off in a foot spa in the time I have:eek: so I just make the massage part longer. Massage is the best bit as far as the client is concerned anyway so they don't object! The important thing is to remember the change-over between guests can be quite time consuming so I always add an extra 5 mins or so per person in my head when I'm planning when I'll be leaving IYKWIM.

Enjoy them - I always find they go very quickly as you are chatting to everyone(or at least I am!) and then all of a sudden thats it!

I love them and they are quite good money spinners as you sometimes get good tips but also as you are doing so many ppl in the same place it doesn't cost you as much to get to the clients if you see what I'm trying to say! (I've lost myself with my last sentence so heaven help anyone tryng to read this!)

Have fun with it basically is what I'm trying to say!

Good luck!

Thanks for all the advice! I did my first pamper party last night it was hard work but worth it although i ended up going home an hour later then planned due to client change over, indecisive clients etc!! Think i will have to plan ahead better next time and maybe send them a treatment schedule to complete before i arrive so i know what i'm doing!

For the mini mani I ended up doing sanitise, buff, file, cuticle work, hand cream, polish, oil but next time i think i might miss out the buff and oil as at the minute i struggle to do this in 20 mins! But i suppose practice makes perfect!

Thanks again!

My friends and I have just booked ourselves a pamper party (for ourselves) and we're paying an average of £10 per 15-20 minute treatment. I'd hate to think the therapists who are doing our party are fretting or worrying - it's supposed to be fun (for us!) and a great way for you to earn money and possibly get some future business, but you're supposed to enjoy it too - I'm sure you will on the night though, eh!!
