Party lash help

What's the best way to apply party lashes with your clients?
Eyes open or closed?
Lower lashes taped or not taped?

There's so many different ways but I want to know the best.
Also I find my clients eyes tend to sting quite a lot after application,is there any way to solve this?

Eye slightly open, but I offer to tape bottom lashes if they wanted. Try to use little less glue, I find that helped but most eyes will sting! I get the odd few who don't sting or water & I'm like what the heck? Lol hope that helps xxxx

Thanks for your help,I know I used to use the semipermanent under eye pads but they end up costing a fortune in the long run compared to the price of the treatment itself.
