to keep everyone happy whats a fair hourly rate of pay for a 15 year old still at school, but would like to take on an apprentership when she leaves school in june 2011. she is 16 in april and the min wage for 16 is £3.60, apprentership wage is a lot less than this so i was thinking £3.00 any body got any ideas she will only be working on a saturday, kind regards stridlass:confused:

I normally pay 15 yr olds £25 for a Saturday job.

Apprenticeship pay is £95 a week, at the moment, for 4 days in the salon and 1 at college. This is to go up soon to £2.50 per hour.

It's up to you if you want to pay more. I don't. They are often unreliable when they are young and they are not bringing in an income. Also, you are giving them one to one training that they would not receive full time at college.

Just double checked, apprenticeship money went up to £2.50 an hour on 1/10/10
