What can i use for a black background i dont think i have anything????

Would a black towel do?

A black towel really wouldnt be suitable because in close up shots, the towelling threads would show up in the photos. Much better to use a piece of fine material (no coarse threads), ideally the material shouldnt be shiny (not reflect light) as we dont want anything which will detrct from our subject.. the nails themselves. Try a visit to your local fabric shop, I'm sure you'll find something suitable. Best of all, this one piece of material will be of use to you as a background for years to come.
