Pinching tool!? Thoughts please...

I've never used a pinching tool before when doing acrylic nails. I've just watched a demo of one being used & it did dramatically change the entire shape of the enhancement (for the better I thought too??)
What's peoples thoughts on the 'pinching tool'?????
