Pocket lifting gel nno

I was a little overzealous when I did my own nno a little while shop on the center of my natural nail. I now keep getting pocket lifting in that area. Any ideas what I could do to help the lifting problem? I have a feeling that every time I get the lifting it messes up the nail so the area just can't grow off. At long last I have a class coming up at the end of january and feel like a right idiot if I have a seriously dodgy nail. I could kick myself for not having been more careful. I feel intimidated enough by the class as it is without everyone looking at my nail thinking wow how @#&! is she.:o
