I actually don't agree, I have done my own predesigned tips. I airbrushed first, then an effect then clear varnish, and then applied l&p... The result was fine, I find that the l&p is more forgiving when it comes to bonding to the surface...
I have put L&P on a til then painted it, then put more L&P later over it and it has been fine. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact there is 2 layers of L&P. the 1st is sooo thin
Hey, I quite often do some pre-designed ones for myself, usually design the tip, topcoat it then leave it overnight, just prep etc as usual then L&P, happy designing xxx
I second angle fingers , acrylic paint then l&p works well for me and I find acrylic paint nicer to use for most art than polish ,also I have done it with foils and the nail art sealer then L&P and with airbrushed tips but if you are wanting to design them before you put them on so that you can get both hands looking good then don't forget to pre tailor the tip first because other wise you might wreck your design ,
I think really for the most part it is a matter of trying and seeing what works , you might come up with the next big thing totally by trial and error ,post pics tho
