Hiya
these prices look a little low to me, but there again I am in a city not a village, what are the competition charging, pop into as many local salons as you can gathering their price lists and make a comparison. Good luck!

Lol, I will have to look Lesmahagow up on google. I don't know how big or small your village is or how near or far it is to other towns and villages so this needs to be factored into you pricing. Your profile also does not mention the level of training you are undergoing which is also a factor in pricing IMHO.

However, I agree with the other geeks that these prices do seem on the low side. I have added what I suggest as a starting point but it will need to coincide with your level of skill etc...... HTH.

You say you work yur prices because its a small village. You need to ask yourself a feww questions.
1. Is there a demand for your services in the area you wish to work?
2. How big is this demand and what section of the public are you targeting. Low, middle or higher income clients
3.How far are you willing to travel
4. What is the houry rate you would be happy with?
5. Is this going to be your sole income or is it subsidised?

When working out your prices you need to work out how much you need to earn to cover your living and business expenses if this is your only income or is it more of a hobby with pocket money. This is the first thing you need to decide to see whether your business is viable or not. We would all like to be earning £30 and hour but is there enough demand to back this up. only you can decide on your hourly rate you are able to live on.

Secondly you need to take into account the amount of time yu will be spending in your car travelling to clients. This time is going to cut into your hourly rate and your prices should reflect this or you could charge per mile ontop of your treatmetn prices.

I hope this has helped in some way,x

Hi, i live in a village and going mobile in the summer, you got to remember you will have to travel to most of your clients just taking into account time and fuel and is it worth it for any treatment at ten pounds or less. Traceys prices looked a lot better xx

definately agree with the above comments. I started off mobile and I'm still doing it now. I charge £25 for a full set and £15 for infills. Personally I tried charging £15 or £20 for a full set and I found that because I was so cheap my potential clients assumed I couldnt do the job as well as a technician down the road charging £30. I have found that extra £5.00 for a full set makes a great difference. Dont be scared to charge, as soon as they see your work they'll be saying how cheap you are!! lol

does seem a bit low to me too.
how do you cover costs of time and petrol if someone just want a file and polish for £7 ?
im not mobile so cant comment too much, but you must be worth more xx
