Hi

I have been looking on the NSI website and would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me what primer is used for and is it necessary when doing acrylic nails?

Hi,
Have you trained with NSI ?
Your profile says the system you use is NSI.
If you have trained with them you would know what Primer is for.
I am not being harsh with you........Just want to be sure you know what you are doing.
You need to fill your profile out more, then you will receive more help on the site from all the geeks on here.
Hopefully you will have your training notes, it is in there.

No I didn't train with NSI I just use the products as I heard that they are the best, the person I trained with did not mention anything about primer at all.

Hi Hun,
Some L & P products need a primer, NSI is one that does, Some don't Creative Retion + monomer does not, but you can use one if you want to.
Which product did you train with? This would help in giving you some advice.
You could do a conversion course with NSI or maybe even with Creative.
Conversion courses are just one day, they train you in the correct way to use that companies product, not to train you in how to do nails, so that you know the prep routine need for your product and the correct liquid to powder ratio etc.

Thanks very much for your help. The products we trained with were in unnamed bottles so not sure what they were, found this site really useful though and think I definitely need more training as feel really out of my depth reading the comments from others. Will get there one day though!!
